	Don Smith “Smitty” – Regional Director Smitty, as he became known when he moved to New Jersey, has had over 25 years of involvement in camping. Some of the various positions that he has served include: Volunteer Counselor – Camp Board Member – Chairman, Property Committee – Office Manager – Summer Camp Director – Site Manager and finally the Regional Director right here at Camp Lebanon. Smitty and his wife, Katie, met at an American Baptist Camp in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Having served that camp for seven years in one capacity or another Smitty was called to Camp Lebanon in 1989 where he became the Site Manager. Smitty was promoted to the position of the Regional Director of Camping at Lebanon after the summer of 1994. In May of 2007 Smitty will have served at Camp Lebanon for 18 years! Smitty, who attends the Cherryville Baptist Church, has served the church as a member of the Trustee Board. He also runs the Tape Ministry for the Deacon Board of Cherryville Baptist. Smitty’s favorite hobby is bowling. He has been on the same team for the past 7 years. He loves to watch the Yankees as much as possible. In football he is an avid fan that likes to watch football no matter who is playing, even though his favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Email -

	HilARY Gierman - Site Manager Baptist Camp Lebanon is a very special place to Hilary. His family has been involved with Baptist Camp Lebanon since camp was opened. His grandfather volunteered as a worker back in the 50s. His mother attended camp in the 50s and 60s. Even before Hilary was old enough to be a camper, his parents brought Hilary to Family Camp. From the early 80s on, Hilary has attended, worked and served different positions at Baptist Camp Lebanon. In 1994, he switched from attending camp to working as a summer staffer on Kitchen Crew. In 1995, he was the Kitchen Crew leader, and stayed in the position until 1997. In 1998 and 1999, he volunteered throughout the summer and during the off season in various roles. In 1999, Hilary was a member of the Camps, Conferences and Retreats board, and in January of 2000, he assumed the role of Full time Site Manager. During the summer, Hilary manages the support staff. He also teaches archery on a daily basis with his wife Barbara. In 1996, Hilary created the camp website which he still maintains today. Hilary met his wife Barbara at Baptist Camp Lebanon. They, although unaware of each other, attended camp as teenagers together. Hilary has a daughter Rachel Nicole from a previous marriage. Hilary is a member of Chesterfield Baptist Church. Email -
